About Karen

I would describe myself as dependable, and compassionate. I enjoy caring for seniors because they have lived full lives and carry some of the best stories & wisdom. My caregiving journey began at an adult day health center, where I worked for 6 years. After that, I spent 3 years caring for my grandfather through Alzheimer's and dementia, followed by a few years working on a dementia care unit. These experiences strengthened my patience, understanding, and dedication to quality care. My skills include dementia care, managing confusion and agitation, stimulation activities, assisting with all ADLS, Hoyer lift, showers, transfers, range-of-motion exercises, meal prep & housekeeping. In my free time, I enjoy reading, music, and cooking. I recently Moved to Tampa and am seeking a caregiving opportunity where I can make a difference. I am open to live-in positions depending on the circumstances.
