About Karina

Hello my name is Karina and I am a full time student at Lewis University, majoring in Social Work with a minor in Spanish. I plan to be a social worker for children; therefore, my goal is to work with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or the elementary schools in a school district. I have been a babysitter for children in the past but it has been unstable because parents only need me on special occasions. Apart from babysitting, I have also been a volunteer at the Little Foxes Soccer Clinic teaching children how to play soccer and demonstrating basic soccer skills. I love to interact with children whether it's by playing a sport, drawing or teaching them an educational subject. I believe having the opportunity to take care of children will benefit me in my education in order to pursue my goal in working with DCFS.
