About Karina

I'm Karina, I was born and raised in Brazil. I love kids. They are pure, innocent, and eager to learn about everything around them! Facilitating their discoveries of the world is one of my passions! At 18 years old, I got my first job at a nursery school as a caregiver assistant. I was able to get training and participate in child development classes. I learned so much during that time! A great deal of patience, creativity, and the ability to communicate with the little ones are some examples of skills we had to use daily! I worked there for about 2 years. I left when I decided to move to the US and work as Au pair. For a year I helped care for a 3-year-old little boy. Nowadays I live in Oakland with my husband and son. When we have free time, we like to go hiking, read together and watch movies. Last year I started taking classes. Currently I am looking for a job that I can both enjoy and pay for my classes. For me being around little ones always makes my day!
