About Karin

I began working with kids at the age of 16 at Kinder-Care Learning Center where I worked and babysat on and off through college. I was then a nanny for newborn twins for a year. I got my degree in Sociology and Psychology. I worked with runaways after college until I began working with children in the foster care system. I worked in Child Welfare for 10 years. I left to become a stay-at-home mom. I now have 3 beautiful girls, ages 11, 17 & 19 years old. During my years as a stay-at-home mom, I worked as a preschool teacher at a parent's day out program, and at an after-school program at the park district. I also was a nanny for two different families, When my youngest daughter was school aged I became a Paraprofessional and began working at our local elementary school as an Instructional Assistant working with Preschool - 1st-grade children. I still work at Westbrook in Mt. Prospect in the front office as a Clerical Assistant. During the school year, I work until 4:30 p.m.
