About Karolyn

I am currently a graduate student at Rutgers School of Social Work. I am working towards obtaining my masters degree in social work and then obtaining my licensure in the state of New Jersey soon after graduation, this May 2021. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology and have work experience with children and adolescents. I have worked at as a youth development specialist at a middle school and a high school where I provided students with emotional and academic support along with facilitating clinical group (Girls Group). This was a psychoeducation clinical group in which we focused on positive decision making, forming healthy relationships, and increasing self-esteem. I have background in activity planning due to my role as a youth development specialist, and many will describe me as energetic and compassionate. I am currently interning at Robertwood Johnson-New Brunswick in the Psychiatric Screening Department as a crisis social worker, where I conduct safety assessments. I
