About Kate

As the eldest child, there is something intrinsic that pushes you to be a natural caregiver. That's exactly what I felt growing up, which lead me to do as any other new babysitter does - be the neighborhood babysitter. My high school years were spent with a core few families; taking care of their children after-school, helping with homework, making meals, and playing games. This transitioned into wanting to spend my summers teaching children, bringing me to work at a local arts oriented day-camp in New Jersey called Riverbend. I worked as their Ceramics Teacher for three summers, up until I transitioned to the big league - sleep-away camp. I spent the summer of 2019 as the Ceramics Teacher at Camp Lindenmere, and as the counselor to 12 15-17-year-old girls. Due to Covid-19, I have not been able to return to the camp life like I had hoped which brings me to where we are now!
