About Kate

I have 10 years of childcare experience. I started my career as a nanny for a family with 2 toddlers, staying with them until they reached school age. Then I worked as a para at a school for special needs for 2 years. Then I had my first born at the same time a family member was seeking childcare, I started providing care at my house for them. During these past 5 years her family has grown and so has mine, I have provided childcare for 3 of her kids while also raising 2 of mine. We just moved so I'm now done caring for that family and only have my kids here. I now have a 5-year-old daughter, 3. 5-year-old son, teenage stepson and hope to continue with a similar arrangement in which I can provide pre-school aged childcare from my house:) I love doing mentally engaging and creative activities with kids such as preschool workbooks, flash cards, and all sorts of arts and crafts. I also love giving the kids plenty of fresh air, running around/playing in our fenced in back yard.
