About Katherine

Hi there! This past year, I taught full-time in a wonderful, nature-based early childhood education center in Eau Claire, WI. My partner and I realized that the Midwest is not for us, and we're moving back to Maine this fall. I loved my job as a lead teacher with 3-4-year-olds, but this year I'm looking for a more flexible job opportunity as a nanny. In addition to teaching preschool, I was an overnight camp counselor for two summers, where I planned and taught lessons for children of all ages in our campus garden. I led backpacking trips in the mountains of NC for older participants as well. I graduated from Colby College in 2020 with my Bachelor's Degree in Education Studies. I studied abroad in Denmark where I took the opportunity to complete a 50-hour practicum in a Danish nature preschool. I am looking to nanny (or possibly homeschool too) for a family in the Waterville area. I'm first aid certified, an experienced early childhood teacher, and care deeply about children!
