I've been around kids my whole life, especially being the oldest sister, oldest cousin, and oldest grandchild I would happily volunteer to babysit. My love for kids grew as I babysat for neighbors & friends at the age of 12 years old. I also volunteered at a nursery school for 2 summers (age 15/16) with kids mostly under 5 years old. The majority of the kids' first language was Spanish, which I have a little background in. From there, I babysat at least 10 times per year for a couple families. My original families recommended me to their friends who I began to babysit for too. For summer 2014 & 2015 I was a live-in nanny for three related families a their lake house. There were seven children there and I usually would be responsible for five at a time. There was a newborn, a 2 yr. old, a 4 yr. old, three 3 yr. old, a 4 yr. old and a 6 yr. old. I love interacting and caring for kids because they have always brought a lot of energy and joy to my life.
