About Katherine

I have roughly 8 years of experience working with children. I have served as a special education teacher for the past five years, with my degree in speech-pathology and an K-6 special education certification. In addition to my training and years as a teacher, I have served as a special education paraprofessional and worked as a lead teacher at an early childhood center with children ages 12-18 months. I babysat during high school, worked at a daycare with children ages 0-6 for two summers in college, and have worked at a summer camp for individuals with developmental disabilities for two summers. I am able to assist with light errands and tasks around the house. I enjoy setting up and completing crafts or different motor activities with kids to have them moving and exploring their creative side. I enjoy reading and love sharing that enthusiasm with kids, whether it's reading to them or them reading to me. In addition, I can also with children on academic and functional skills.
