About Katherine

I have been a camp counselor at a sleep away horse camp in Michigan called Black River for coming on 5 years. I have tons of experience caring for kids from 4-16 years old and usually about 12 kids at the same time! Over the years I have had to deal with pretty much everything in the book (home sickness, regular sickness, fighting, various teen/preteen issues, bed wetting, you name it). I have been able to master the balance of earning kids respect while still being stern and fun all at once. I love working with all different types of kids and would also be able to help tutor in math and science if needed! I have lots of experience baking/cooking and would be comfortable making meals. I'm very comfortable with pets. My parents have dogs, cats, chickens, and horses! I grew up caring for various exotic pets like lizards and fish and I absolutely love animals. I am an equestrian trying to pay my own way through horses and wanted to do something I actually enjoy along the way!
