About Katherine

Dear Families, My name is Kate, and I am 33 years old. I grew up in Northern Michigan and moved to Detroit 5 years ago to attend WSU. I am currently working as a third grade teacher. I want to get back into nannying. I worked for a preschool that is part of Wayne State, as a teaching assistant. I enjoy spending time with children and watching them progress through life. I used to go back up north to nanny for a family with two boys ages 3 and 9. I like being a good role model and helping children discover their world. I hope I can bring new understanding and interest in different culture and language to your children. After spending a year in Australia, I worked as a nanny for a family with three children, a 6-month-old baby, a 6-year-old, and an 11-year-old girl. I spent the year before in Berlin as an Au pair. The summer before I came to Berlin and I worked as a volunteer for the Americops VISTAs.
