About Katherine

Hi! My name is Katherine. I began working in a childcare nursery at the age of 15. From then on I engaged in many opportunities to nanny, babysit and even was a camp counselor. I went to college to study psychology, and in 2018, I graduated from Northern Illinois University. During college I worked as paraprofessional for the school district and then later as a supportive living assistant. After college I moved to Utah and pursued work in wilderness therapy for the next three years. I loved providing care for at risk teenage youth in the wilderness setting. It was working wilderness therapy that I completed my wilderness first responder (WFR) course, and found myself interested in the medical side of care. I am now looking to care for your tiny humans to pair with my most recent job as part of the research team in the pediatric care unit at the University of Utah hospital.
