About Katherin J

We feel incredibly lucky to have Katherin as part of our family. She has been with us for almost a year, but it truly feels like she’s been with us for a lifetime. From the very beginning, she fit into our family so effortlessly. It is honestly hard to imagine a more perfect person to care for our daughter. As a first time mom, I was extremely apprehensive about leaving my daughter with anyone outside of family. She was also a particularly challenging baby. She only wanted me, refused to take a bottle, and would only contact nap. It felt overwhelming. But from the moment Katherin met her, everything changed. My daughter instantly felt safe and connected to her, and that gave me a level of comfort I did not think was possible. Fast forward to today, and I am pretty sure my daughter might choose Katherin over my husband, only half kidding. Katherin has played such a huge role in her development. She successfully taught her how to take a bottle and transition to a sippy cup, and she is the only person besides me who can put her down for naps in her own bed. Because of her, our daughter is now on a consistent and healthy schedule. Beyond that, the growth we have seen in our daughter has been incredible. She is learning Spanish, picking up sign language, and most importantly, she is becoming such a gentle, kind, and loving little girl. So much of that is a reflection of Katherin. She is endlessly creative and thoughtful, always coming up with new arts and crafts or even making homemade toys that keep our daughter engaged for hours. As someone who is naturally very protective, I can truly say that Katherin gives me complete peace of mind. I am able to focus on work knowing my daughter is in the most capable, safe, and loving hands. In such a short time, Katherin has become so much more than a nanny. She is family. She is always included in our holidays and celebrations, and we genuinely hope she stays with us for a long time. My husband and I feel so fortunate not only to have her care for our daughter, but to learn from her as well. Her creativity, her patience, and the way she speaks to and nurtures our daughter is something truly special. We are so grateful for Katherin. Knowing her has been such a gift, and we could not recommend her more highly.
