Prior to that, I provided home care privately, in Maryland, for several family members, my grandmother, mother and sister. As a family caregiver I gained experience caring for patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, renal failure and cancer. As a family caregiver I understand that the need is great for families to know that their loved one is being well cared so that they can work or simply enjoy a period of respite.
