About Kathleen

Others would describe me as compassionate, dependable, and patient. I have a degree in social work with additional postgraduate-level education and experience in assisted living and memory care, as well as caring for my husband's family members. Having spent my childhood in foster care without the opportunity for lasting relationships with parents or grandparents, I consider it a gift to build genuine relationships with older adults-to listen, learn, and share time together. Caring and advocacy are central to my life. I have a force- and fear-free dog-training business and extensive experience working in an emergency veterinary hospital. Whether caring for a person or animal, I believe patience, empathy, respect, and humor matter enormously. I hope to provide companionship, social and intellectual engagement, transportation, errands, light meals, and housekeeping. Above all, I take the responsibility of caring for someone you love very seriously.
