About Kathy

Hello parents! I have worked with children in different capacities for over 40 years. I have been a teacher, advocate, nanny, case manager, and mother. I raised two sons, one who is neurodivergent. I have a Master's degree in Social Work as well. I worked as a special needs teaching assistant for the program in Stamford for 10 years. I have had day care and camp experience, working with all age groups from infants to teens. I have also worked with multiples and premature babies. I have been a professional nanny for five years. Personally I am a certified Pilates instructor, and love being active. I love to travel, and to not take myself too seriously. I am CPR certified, Epi-pen, and medication training. We are incredibly lucky to have found Kathy. She has been with us for almost 2.5 years and our children love her (we do too!). Kathy started with us when our twins were 6 months old, but home for only 2.5 months. Our twins were born extremely premature so finding the right person for when I went back to work was incredibly important to us. The starts aligned when we found Kathy! Our childcare needs are changing soon as the kids are starting PreK-3, so after supporting us in raising our now toddlers, Kathy is looking for her next adventure. Kathy has become a part of our family, even our dog loves to snuggle with her. She witnessed a lot of their “firsts” right along with us. When the kids were in OT services, Kathy was essential in supporting our program. Her background played a key role. She comes up with the greatest ideas for the kids to keep them entertained, crafting, playing, learning, and also allows them to just be kids. She supports our parenting style and we are so grateful we found her. She will be very missed in our day-to-day. Kathy’s next family will be very, very lucky.
