About Katie

Hello! I'm a bubbly, easy-going, and fun-loving person with over 15 years of experience teaching, working with, and caring for children from infants to college students. My career as a babysitter and nanny turned into a life-long pursuit of working with children! I'm now currently pursuing a Master's in English at UNC Charlotte while working as a Teacher's Assistant of English and Linguistics. Before that, I spent 3 years teaching Japanese middle grade and special needs students in Japan. My experience has taught me to adapt to a style that best fits your child's needs. I'm a big proponent of fun, engaging activities that promote learning and social interaction! Kids are like sponges - they learn so much through observation and interaction, so I believe it's up to us adults to set a good example of finding joy in all life has to offer!
