About Katie
Experience: 10 yrs
Hi families! My name is Katie, a playful, silly, patient, thoughtful, and kind gal with a background in nature education for kids (ages 2-15), farming, ecology, herbal medicine, and somatic therapy! I have over 15 years of childcare experience, and my passion is in nature-based mentorship. I love sharing active games, storytelling, music, movement, awareness practices, survival skills, gardening, science education, and crafts/hands-on activities - nurturing a safe, inclusive & playful environment for kids to connect with their bodies and nature through creativity & exploration! I love supporting kids with diverse learning needs (ADHD, anxiety, autism) I'm happy to support chores (cooking, meal prep etc) as well as errands or pickups (I have a reliable car& license of 10+ yrs). I strongly value clear communication & am super happy to maintain connection in whatever way feels easiest for you :) I have wilderness first aid training and CPR, to ensure your kiddos are well taken care of.
