About Katie

Hi there! I moved to Madison last August after completing my Ph. D. in Child Clinical Psychology at University of Virginia. I have a full-time job as a postdoctoral fellow during the week, and would love to become a regular weekend, weeknight, and/or special occasion babysitter for a few local families! I have extensive experience working with infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and their families. Back in kindergarten I was a "mom's helper" to our neighbor who had triples and by middle school was babysitting for several families a few evening a week. After college, I worked as a full-time nanny for three young children and eventually went on to get my Ph. D. in Child Clinical Psychology. I very comfortable caring for individuals with special needs including Autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, anxiety, etc. I enjoy learning kids' individual interests and personalities and finding fun activities to do together!
