About Katy

I have lived in Chicago for 3 years, am from Iowa, and have lived as a student and teacher in 4 countries. I am a freelance writer and am working on my first novel. Wanted to be more active instead of sitting and writing full-time and additionally on the novel at night. I love kids, I am drawn to their energy. I do not have children yet, but look forward to using all the wonderful experiences I have had as a nanny in my future as a mother. At age 11 I became received babysitting certification through the American Red Cross. Since then I have been a nanny for 22 families for children ages 1 week-13 years. My experience as a teacher has helped me plan recreation that promotes educational development and character building.
