About Kayla

Hello there! I'm Kayla, a SUNY Oswego graduate (2020) with a degree in Communication Studies and Creative Writing. I have been a dedicated babysitter since age 14 and I bring 2 years of hands-on experience as a Special Education Teaching Assistant in a 6:1:2 classroom, specializing in children with special needs. During my teaching experience, I also provided home-based district-sanctioned parent training, collaborating with parents to craft effective strategies for fostering an ideal home environment for children with special needs. I left my position this school year and I'm currently enrolled at NYIT Long Island for a Masters of Science in School Counseling. This prompted my transition from teaching, as the commute became challenging. I'm a dedicated, fun-loving, and responsible caregiver with an unwavering passion for children's positive development.
