About Kaylie

I probably love seniors so much because of my unique relationship with my grandfather. We have always been very close, and helping him feels natural. I'm looking for a job that is supplemental for a family. Whether it be companion for a lonely loved one, weekly appointments, or just helping ease the burden of the household chores. I started helping my grandfather with cooking and cleaning when I was a teenager. This progressed slowly over the years. Just recently, I do a lot of companion stuff to keep his spirits up. Sometimes as much as going on a trip out of town and getting his favorite treat, or simply sitting in the sun and playing cards. I also take him to his appointments and help with laundry. Sometimes this includes help in the bathroom, so I have experience with that as well. He is in a wheelchair, so I'm comfortable helping move in and out of it, as long as the client can at least stand for a short amount of time on their own.
