About Kelsey

I have spent the last three years as a special education teacher in DC public schools. In this time, I've taught all subjects (English, math, writing, reading, handwriting, social studies, science, social skills, etc.) to a variety of students ages 5-9. I have extensive experience working with students on the Autism spectrum as well as students with ADHD and other developmental delays including speech delays. I have been ranked a DCPS Highly Effective educator for the past 2 years, producing the highest level of progress in my students recognized by the district. I also received my Masters of Science in Education last year from Johns Hopkins University. I am passionate about ensuring that all kids have access to equitable education which is one of life's greatest gifts, and I am excited to help support students who need it. I believe in making learning engaging, exciting and personal to each child. Looking forward to working with you!
