About Kennedy

Hi, my name is Kennedy and I am a social work major at St. Catherine University. I like to be outside, draw, listen to music, cook, and do arts and crafts. My skills include coming up with creative and engaging activities, comfortability with going places/activities outside of the home, and preparing meals. I started working with kids when I was a 15 at an before/after school and over the summer daycare program called Adventure Club. I also was a math tutor for Mathnasium. I worked there until 2020. Adventure Club taught me a lot about caring for larger groups of children in activity based classroom settings as well as field trips. I have also babysat for families outside of those jobs as well. For the past two years I have worked for a summer reading enrichment program called Freedom School. With that program, I am teaching curriculum, going on field trips, and being creative with the activities I prepare for my scholars that will have them engaged and learning.
