I am a retired teacher and registered nurse. I have a 5-year grandson and 2-year-old granddaughter. I graduated from Texas A&M in 1986 with a degree in Math Education. In 2009, I received my BS in nursing from the accelerated program at UTHSC at Houston. After working in hospitals and rehab clinics for about 6 years, I decided to slow down and enjoy being around young ones again and hopefully help ease the stress of a young couple trying to balance a life of having a career and a family. I have experience in raising a family while balancing a career. For the past 7 years I have worked with 8 month twins until they were 16 months, a 2-month-old until she was 13 months, a 2-month-old until she was 2 1/2, a 4-year-old for 1 year, and I am presently working with a 6-month-old since he was 2 months old. I would love to help take care of your children - especially babies! I'm available to interview now and start within 1 to 2 weeks.
