About Kimie

I'd describe my personality as patient, creative, positive. I like working with kids because they bring joy and curiosity to life! I've worked for 5+ years as a licensed teacher with preschool age children. I love their excitement about learning. I also love providing creative and fun ways to learn about the world: art; manipulatives; building with Legos, magnatiles, or blocks; dramatic play; children's books; music & more. I started working with kids when I was in high school for a school age child care. In college I also volunteered in a preschool & a 1st grade classroom. I received my degree & teaching license for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade & started my teaching career in 2018. Most recently, I've spent the last 4 years teaching Pre-K students & have absolutely loved working with the preschool age. In my spare time, I like to paint & draw, go hiking with my partner & rescue dog, visit coffee shops & spend time with family. We are moving to Seattle, WA this summer 2024.
