About Kriss

With 14 years in the childcare field, I have worked with newborns to teens. I specialize in infant and toddler care with an emphasis on early emotional development through conversation, games and play. I am strongly influenced by the Montessori method as I focus on cultivating opportunities for the child to learn independence and self reliance. I also incorporate the Waldorf method to help the child understand their inner lives, name their emotions and learn to self regulate through patience, practice and awareness. I view my job as someone who helps guide a child to understand who they are, what they can do as they learn to become a kind and helpful human in this world. I thrive with a family that views a nanny as a valued parenting team member and is able to collaborate in the work that is guiding a young human to become self aware, kind and capable.
