I currently work as a Wellness Coordinator at an Assisted Living for individuals with memory impairment. I work as a PCA for an individual with Autism for a few hours on a weekend. I have worked as a direct care/case manager in both a dayhab and residential setting. I have worked with people with such challenges as: Alzheimer/dementia, Parkinson's, seizure disorders, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, unsteady and non-ambulatory, verbal and non-verbal communication and behavioral challenges. I have provided direct care services such as bathing, feeding, clothing, light housekeeping, transportation to and from medical appointments, running errands, administering medication, participating in/assisting with recreational activities. Although I do have experience as a PCA, I do not have a HHA or CNA certificate. I am looking for part time or per diem work. I am available after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and can commit to some weekends.
