About Kyla

Growing up in a large family and with a parent working as an early childhood educator, I have always loved working with kids. This passion has led me to pursue job opportunities specifically working and caring for young children. Starting in middle school and throughout high school, I volunteered to provide childcare for caregivers during parent trainings and worked as an assistant in a pre-K classroom for my elementary school. I am empathetic, responsible, and respectful to the wants and needs of the people I work with. I am currently a graduate student at UNCW obtaining a master's degree in psychology. I have experience with providing one-on-one childcare for children with autism. I am calm and patient when dealing with big emotions. Assisting and watching children reach new milestones brings me great joy, and I would love to provide that for new families!
