About Kyna

As the oldest in my family, I spent most of my life happily playing the Big Sis role, acting as babysitter, tutor, counselor, chauffeur, and chef-on-demand. Caregiving was so natural to me that I've become the "mom" of many friend groups over the years. In university, I taught at a community learning center that offered Computer Science education to middle school students living in underserved areas. Currently, I work at a private school in Brentwood, TN that provides a tailored learning experience for our students through primarily 1-on-1 classes. I have over 7 years of teaching experience, working primarily with upper middle school and high school students, although I've worked with children as young as 2. As for my personal interests, I love cooking, baking, and anything DIY - sewing, knitting, and crochet are longtime favorites. On weekends, I like to hike or to go for long walks on park trails.
