About Lacey

About me: My name is Lacey and I'm a sophomore at the University of Minnesota, studying Developmental Psychology, minoring in Neuroscience. Things I love include working out, junk journaling, being outside and going on hikes or walks! My credentials: - Tutoring: I tutored students aging from preschool to 12th grade for 11 months my junior year of high school. - Research Assistant: Last spring and into the summer I was a research assistant for the Early Language and Experience Lab at the Institute of Child Development here at the UMN. I worked with data and organizational aspects of the study. - Personal Care Attendant (PCA): I am currently a PCA, started last May, for a 14-year-old individual who is nonverbal and autistic, has severe intellectual disability, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I help with toileting, bathing, eating, transitions, and laying them down for bed. Beyond this I play with them and try to keep them engaged in activities as much as I can.
