About Larissa

Hi, I'm Larissa! I'm a Brazilian graduate student living in the US, currently pursuing my MS in TESOL. What keeps me coming back to this field is watching children grow and learn. There's nothing quite like seeing a little one reach a new milestone, figure something out for the first time, or light up when they discover something new. Outside of school and work, I love being active, hiking in nature, trying a new sport. I'm also a big reader and writer, and I've always believed that a love of stories and language starts early. With four languages under my belt, I bring a little bit of the world into everything I do with kids. With children, I'm fun and energetic. I'll be right there on the floor playing, running around outside, or coming up with a creative activity. But I also know how to read a room. Some moments call for silly and spontaneous; others call for calm and focused. I genuinely love kids of all ages and personalities, and I think they can feel that.
