About Laura

Laura has been our nanny for the past eight months, caring for our 2-year-old son, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is hands-down the best nanny we have had. The only reason we are parting ways is because our family is moving back to Oregon in October — otherwise, we would absolutely not be giving her up! She has become such an important part of our family. She and our son have an incredibly close bond, and even our dog is thrilled to see her every morning. As a parent, I trust Laura completely. She is dependable, always on time, incredibly organized, and has been endlessly flexible and accommodating with our family — including helping us through a house move and always making us feel like we are covered when life inevitably gets complicated. What I especially appreciate about Laura is how thoughtful and engaged she is with our son. She does a wonderful job balancing physical activity, learning and developmental activities, outings, and just having fun. She is always finding new places to take him, new things for them to do, and new activities to try rather than falling into the same routine every day. She sends us updates throughout the day and often lets us know her plan for the following day, which I love. She is also incredibly calm and patient. Two-year-olds obviously have their moments, and Laura never loses her cool. She has even taught our son simple breathing techniques to help him calm and regulate himself when he's getting overwhelmed or having a toddler tantrum. Seeing him actually use things she has taught him has been so special. Beyond being an amazing nanny, Laura is just genuinely fun to have around. She has a great sense of humor, is easy to communicate with, and has become someone our entire family loves and trusts. I genuinely trust her with the most important person in my life, and there is no higher recommendation I could give. We are going to miss her tremendously when we move. The next family who gets to have Laura in their lives will be incredibly lucky, and I would recommend her without hesitation.
