About Laura

After working as an occupational therapist for 30 years, I took a few years off to care for my elderly parents. After they passed, I decided to work with seniors in a less stressful setting. I've been a concierge at a large retirement community for 6 years. I currently have some extra availability & want to return to something I've always loved: helping older folks in their homes. With my background, I'm both familiar & comfortable with many of the conditions that seniors deal with. From my personal experience as a caregiver to my folks, I'm also aware of the heavy burden that family caregivers carry. I have the skills, experience, & desire to help. I consider it a great honor to be accepted into an older person's life & to get to know them. That was always my favorite part of being an OT. I truly love working seniors. I am here to help support family caregivers as well as to care for--and provide companionship to--older folks so that they can thrive at home as long as possible.
