Working with children is my passion! I received my Multiple Subject and Special Education Credentials from Point Loma Nazarene University. I have been teaching mild/mod and mod/severe special education grades TK-High School for the past three years. Prior to becoming a teacher I was a nanny for 7 years. Since becoming a teacher I've seen students struggle and become frustrated with learning/school. I've decided to start offering tutor of all core subjects for any level of student. My goal is bring fun and engagement to create and foster a love for learning. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Laurel started with our family when my son's were 3 years and 4 months old. She has never-ending patience and a calm presence that puts kids at ease. Here expertise in early childhood education is evident as she understands the developmental stages of the kids and interacts with them at their level. As well, she often incorporates age-appropriate learning activities within their play time. My kids adore Laurel and I would definitely recommend her as a child-care provider!
