About Lauren

I'd describe my personality as calm, caring, and conscientious. I like working with kids because they're growing and learning and curious and I get to be a witness to how amazing they are and help guide them and keep them safe. I'm looking for a job that involves lots of time with kids and calm and respectful communication with parents. I started working with kids when I pretty much still was a kid. I was hired as a mother's helper when I was 10-12 and then shortly thereafter as a babysitter. I studied child development in college and kept babysitting. Then worked as a preschool teacher, TSS, and family development specialist. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband, my cats, my mom, and my friends, and practice yoga and eat delicious vegan food. One thing you should know about me is I care about doing my best and am open to respectful feedback. I want us to be on the same page. My skills include reading stories, developmentally appropriate play, and child safety.
