About Lauren Elizabeth

I've spent five years teaching Pre K, where I learned how powerful early learning can be when kids feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. I also completed a year-long AmeriCorps service term as a 4th-grade assistant teacher, working closely with students on academic skills, classroom routines, and confidence-building. My experience across both early childhood and upper elementary has strengthened my belief in meeting students exactly where they are and helping them grow through encouragement, creativity, and connection. I'm originally from Chicago, IL, and that community-minded, hardworking energy has shaped the way I show up in classrooms. Outside of teaching, I love playing guitar, spending time outdoors, and finding little moments of creativity and calm that I bring back into my work with students. Working in child development is where I feel most purposeful, and I love bringing that grounded, joyful energy into every learning space.
