About Lauren

Hello! My name is Lauren, living with my fiance and son in Warwick. I have worked professionally with children all of my life, beginning with art classes, continuing to a full time preschool lead, and finally as an RBT for children with autism. Now, I'm taking steps towards opening my own home day care. My goal is to provide a child led learning environment which incorperates my ideals. A huge benefit of my background is that I am up to date on CPR, First Aide, safety care, AED, and Rhode Island early developmental standards. As a mom myself, I understand you want a person who proves their trustworthiness, not just speaks about it. I believe in communicating respectfully with children; making expectations easy to follow, using affirmative language, and reinforcing positive behaviors with encouragement and warmth. I pride myself on my clean and safe home. We are trying to connect with the "right" family as I transition from working outside of my home to welcoming families into it.
