About Lauren

Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a certified Elementary and Special Education Teacher. I graduated in January 2016 from Monmouth University with a bachelor's degree in English and Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education. I am certified to teach English Language Learners and have been trained in the Orton Gillingham Approach for students with Dyslexia. After graduating in 2016, I moved to California, where I taught in Los Angeles County as a K-5 Resource Teacher for 3 years. After deciding to move back to Pennsylvania, I taught in the School District of Philadelphia as a Learning Support Teacher for students in grades K-5. I now run my own private tutoring business and work full time as a private reading and writing tutor. This is my 7th year teaching reading and writing and I absolutely LOVE it.
