About Lauren

I have been working with children for the past 25 years, beginning as a mother's helper for our neighbors up the block and evolving into a nanny, babysitter, camp counselor and swim instructor. I have substituted for hundreds of classrooms around the city for SFUSD for several years after grad school. After being a teacher at a preschool for an inclusion program, I realize the bureaucracy involved with being at a public entity would often mean having to watch children suffer and not being able to help them, and administrators making decisions that problematically affecting the entire school. I miss working one-on-one with kids and specifically being employed by a family where the pace feels more natural And present. I love kids of all age groups and have had tremendous experience working with children from the ages of infancy to teenagers. I have letters of recommendation upon request.
