About Laurie

What started with family morphed into a career. I have done caregiving on and off for 20yrs now. I have worked with developmental disabilities, elderly, cancer care, ALS, Parkinson's and a number of other diagnosis. Everyone deserves to be cared for while they heal or prepare for end of life. Years in the food service industry gifted me great culinary skills. I have been trained professionally as a human rights officer through what used to be DMR. This training places a heavy emphasis on giving the client choice. Your caregiver should be your hands and legs assisting you in your life, not someone who forces their values and ways onto you. There is no one right way to do things, so call me flexible too!
