About Laurie

Laurie has been watching our three high energy boys (5 and under) for the past two years. Her bio is extremely accurate. Laurie LOVES to be busy! She is always doing something with the kids, whether planning an adventure to a park/playground/zoo/etc. or finding something creative to do with them at home. She always has something planned. She follows online accounts about child development and activities and really comes prepared to keep the kids engaged all day. If they are napping or she has even just a spare moment, Laurie will be washing clothes/folding laundry, reorganizing a closet, or setting aside unused toys. She is honestly always doing something (without being asked). It makes our lives so much easier and we appreciate it so much. She also holds high expectations for the kids and is very clear on rules with them. She comes up with songs/rhymes/sayings to help them remember rules (like how to cross the street), and has worked with our kids on potty training (even devising a potty incentive system), putting their shoes on by themselves, and doing other independent behaviors. She is also very communicative and open. We speak through text and on the phone often to discuss behavioral developments or to address anything that has come up. She has been very easy to work with and is also extremely reliable. We are very fortunate to have found her!
