About Laurie

I'd describe my personality as loving, energetic, and positive. I like working with kids because it's fun and I can be a positive impact by showing them love and attention. I love babies & children. I'm looking for a job that helps parents, gives me the pleasure of taking care of their children, and supplementing my income. I started working with kids after I had 2 children. I worked in childcare at the YMCA, volunteered teaching Junior Achievement, children's ministry (VBS), SS, and coached girls cheerleading. In my spare time, I like to walk, bike ride, read, play pickleball. One thing you should know about me is I am the youngest of 5 children in a very traditional structure. Families are much busier now. I understand how chaotic it can be when children are involved in many activities or parents have busy schedules. I would like to assist in helping families manage all these challenges. My skills include patience, experience, and good communication skills.
