About Leah

Hi there! My name is Leah, and I have a deep love of working with kids. I was a second grade teacher in Oakland for several years and have a master's degree in education. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph. D. at UC Irvine in Sociology of Education. I am currently looking for part-time caregiving work to support myself through graduate school. I became a teacher because I knew that I loved spending time with kids from my many jobs as a part-time babysitter and nanny. I am well versed with children from infancy to middle-school. When I am with your family, you can be sure that I will bring the creative and joyful personality that I brought to my classroom to help your children continue to learn. I know that trusting your little ones with someone is an incredibly important decision, and I would be honored to be considered for that role.
