Hi! Over the years, I have developed a strong passion for working with children. For seven years, I was a volunteer baton twirling coach; teaching girls ages 6-18 how to twirl and eventually bringing them to local and state competitions to compete. I graduated from University at Buffalo with a BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Spanish. For three years I was a Teaching Assistant in an Early Childhood Center, working with children five months to four years of age. Through this I have completed several trainings. I had the opportunity to work in a therapeutic school with children with ASD; receiving an ABA certification to provide behavioral therapy. Along with this, I have been babysitting since 2016 with children ages three months to 13 years old. All of these experiences, along with tutoring, camp counseling and working in a research lab studying child language disorders, have helped to show me my love of working with children.

Our family hired Leah as a recurring weekend daytime sitter for our son when he was 10-13 months old. She's warm, kind, and knowledgeable about early childhood development. As busy parents, we appreciate that she's reliable, communicates in advance if we need to adjust scheduled times because something came up for her, and willing to work with us if we ask to adjust the standing schedule. Happy to say our son clicked with Leah from day one!
