About Leigha

Hi, I'm Leigha. I'm 20 & moved to Seattle 3 years ago to get my degree in Visual Media. I have experience working with kids in many different settings. I worked at Spruce Street School in after-school care with groups of up to 80 kids (ages 5-11), many of whom were neurodivergent. That taught me how to stay patient, flexible, and adapt to different needs quickly. I've also led film camps for ages 8-17, where I was in charge of both the campers and staff, managing groups of up to 15 and planning daily activities, while turning their ideas into reality. In addition, I've worked as a nanny for a 1-year-old. I'm comfortable with more hands-on, routine-based care as well. Currently, I nanny for a family of 4, ages 4-10. Outside of childcare, I'm into film, photography, and music, and I like bringing creativity into the time I spend with kids. I'm reliable, calm, and easy to work with, and I focus on making kids feel comfortable and understood (& that they are having a lot of fun).
