About Leigh

Hello! I'm so glad you've found me here! I have taught in a variety of settings to folks ages 10 through older adulthood, with a focus on college-aged students and people in challenging situations, including: a 4-credit NYU undergraduate creative writing course; poetry workshops in state prisons; college-level academic and professional writing to legal-system involved individuals; and poetry workshops for community writing centers including Poetry Foundation and Hugo House. I approach all students with these same principles and goals: I understand the classroom to be a microcosm of how we approach ourselves and the world around us, and I aim to see each student as an individual with unique strengths and learning styles.
