About Lindsey

Hello! I'm Lindsey, a nanny with a passion for working with children. My ECE experience began in high school, learning the teaching basics while having the privilege of teaching 1st grade once a week for three years. I then went to college for Child Development where I received my certificate. Since then I have worked as a preschool teacher for 4 years and a nanny for 7. I have spent time volunteering as a mentor for at risk youth in my community, at a preschool for homeless families, and as a cabin leader at an outdoor science school. My approach to being a nanny is very simple, I love to nurture the "whole child" by using the teachable moments in the world around us. On a daily basis I provide a balance of structure with open ended activities to promote curiosity and problem solving.
