I worked in nursing homes settings for 16 years and then started in home care in 2017, where I fell in love with my job. I enjoy working with and helping the elderly and listening to their stories. I have worked with Alzheimer and dementia patients. I took care of my mother-law in my home for almost a year. She had GBS, which left her paralyzed from the shoulders down, on a ventilator, and Peg tube feed. I also administered all her meds through her Peg tube, checked her sugar levels, and gave insulin shots.
